Well, well. Welcome!
Hitting that publish button was sure a feet for this gal. And to be totally honest, I’m not sure why. This isn’t my first time starting a “blog.” Back in the day (aka like 5 or 6 years ago) I had a super mini mommy blog. But since then, I’ve found even more things I’m passionate about and the need to create this here space has grown.
Now I can’t make any promises. This will likely be the laziest blog you’ll ever read.. but hey, that’s just the name of my game these days.
My hope is that this space can be a resource for you guys. Where I can share sources, more in depth project tutorials and decor ideas. Heck, I may include the occasional style post! (Gasp!) But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.. I suppose we shall start with an Intro!
So here we go!
Hi! I’m Jess! And you may know me from my Instagram account @houseon77th.. or maybe you’re here because you’re my mom and the only person on the interwebs interested in reading this (hi mom!). Regardless, welcome, and thanks for being here!
I am a mom of 4 littles. My kids are ages 4.5, 3, and twin 1 year olds. We are located in WA state and that’s about the gist of it. Life around here is all sorts of crazy and chaotic but we wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we’ve been together for 13 years now, married for 6. We are self-taught DIYers and Mr. H is usually the one behind the building. However, this mama ain’t afraid of no hammer. So I do often tackle my own projects as well!
I began my Instagram account a couple years ago, after we moved into our second home. While we got to pick a lot of the finishes on our builder grade home, it lacked the character that we longed for. Little by little, we have added touches to our home to create the space that we love. And our hope is to share the process (& projects!) along with you. I hope that we can inspire you to create your own space in a way that is both functional and FUN! So, thanks for being here and I hope you enjoy the new blog!

I have loved, loved looking at all of your instagram projects. We are actually working on starting our new home (its taking forever (insert eye roll)) and you have given me so many ideas and thoughts about what I like more vs what I like less. Keep on giving me ideas, I need them…
